Description: Under the direction of the Practice Manager, Managed Services (IT), the Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager - Network is responsible for creating and evolving internal IT Data Center processes and procedures, monitoring ongoing operations, and insuring reliable delivery of our clients Network Infrastructure services. The NOC manager will supervise all assigned IT operations staff and systems while coordinating with other IT Department managers. This job will be ONSITE 100%

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and manage all NOC tools and software
  • Configure systems integration through database, API or scripting
  • Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability and security
  • Recommend tools, software, systems or enhancements to deliver a feature rich NOC
  • Recommend process improvements to drive efficiency
  • Monitor and test network performance for potential bottlenecks and identify possible solutions
  • Maintain security, backup and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on any task
  • Provide support for complex issues that require escalation
  • Liaison with vendors and other IT personnel for system or problem resolution
  • Maintain strong working relationship with customers and team

Skills and Experience:

  • Preferred experience with ManageEngine, JIRA ITSM, Syslog, Traps, NetFlow,
  • Extensive experience with Meraki monitoring concepts, technologies and tools Experience with SNMP, MIBs, Log Collection
  • 5+ years of working experience in information security, technical operations, or similar capacities
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with individuals across various levels
  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams.
  • Exceptional people skills with demonstrated ability to work with both a technical and functional audience.
  • Good understanding of information security principles and IT infrastructure including operating systems, applications, communications and network protocols.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years IT industry experience in systems administration, understanding monitoring protocols and having a background in NOC/SOC environments. (Preferred experience, with Cisco Meraki, JIRA ITSM, ManageEngine, Syslog, Traps, Netflow, ITIL Certification is desired). Ability to pass rigorous background checks. Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
